This guide describes and demonstrates in detail the process of flashing the Lenovo A5000 smartphone using the SP Flash Tool program.

SP Flash Tool is an official program for flashing Android devices. Its main feature is that it works with all MediaTek (MTK) processors.

IMPORTANT! Before you start flashing your smartphone, make a backup copy of your data and save it to an external storage device (for example: SD card, flash drive or PC) because all your personal data (music, photos, videos, call logs, contacts, SMS, etc.) located on the internal memory of the smartphone will be deleted. Everything you do with your smartphone, you do at your own peril and risk, and under your own responsibility! Follow the instructions strictly and then you will not have any problems.

The firmware process is shown using the Lenovo A5000 model as an example, but this guide is fully suitable for flashing almost all smartphones based on MTK processors. All actions are performed on Windows 7 x64.

To flash your smartphone you will need:

1. Charged smartphone (at least 80% charge);

2. USB cable (preferably original);

3. SP Flash Tool program (it is recommended to use SP Flash Tool v.5.1504 or higher);

4. Drivers required for firmware;

5. Official firmware for Lenovo A5000.

How to flash Lenovo A5000 smartphone using SP Flash Tool

1. Create a lenovo (approx. C:\lenovo ), then unpack the downloaded firmware, driver and SP Flash Tool program into it (Fig. 1).

2. Click Start , then type Device Manager and press Enter (Fig. 2).

3. Connect your turned off smartphone via USB. Right-click on MT65xx Preloader (note this item appears for a short period of time) and select Update drivers (Fig. 3).

4. In the window that opens, select Search for drivers on this computer (Fig. 4).

5. Check the box next to Including subfolders , then click Browse (Fig. 5).

6. Select the Lenovo_A5000_usb_driver (ex. C:\lenovo\Lenovo_A5000_usb_driver) and click OK (Fig. 6).

7. Having selected the desired folder, click Next (Fig. 7).

8. If a Windows security window appears during installation, select Install this driver anyway (Fig. 8).

11. In the message “The scatler file cannot found, please make sure the file is exist before download” that appears, click OK (Fig. 11).

12. In the SP Flash Tool, click Scatter-loading . In the window that opens, open the folder with the firmware and select the file MT6582_Andoid_scatter , then click Open (Fig. 12).

14. Make sure that the smartphone is charged (at least 70-80%). Turn off your smartphone . At intervals of 1-5 seconds, first click the Download , and then connect the smartphone to the computer via a USB cable (Fig. 14).

15. The firmware process will begin (during the firmware, do not disconnect the smartphone, do not close the SP Flash Tool program and do not turn off the computer) (Fig. 15).
