Description and characteristics of the Lenovo A6010 phone

Installing firmware on Lenovo a6010 using the QFIL program

The universal QFIL tool, part of QPTS, allows you to flash smartphones on the Snapdragon platform via a PC. In this case, only standard firmware can be installed .

Important! Save important information before flashing. Remove your Google account from your smartphone, and also reset it to factory settings. It is recommended to use Windows 7 OS.

Algorithm of actions:

  1. Prepare your computer, install drivers and firmware. A package of necessary software in the archive. If the installer installs the RELINK driver, remove the driver.
  2. Turn off Lenovo a6010. Press and hold the volume up button or both volume buttons. In this position, connect the device to the PC.
  3. Unpack the downloaded system image . Make the path to the folder as short as possible. This will avoid errors during the process.

4.Open the flasher . If the top line and port number match the information from the device manager, the phone is detected and ready for firmware.

5.Specify the files as shown in the picture below. To start the firmware, click on the Download . The detailed installation process is described in this article.

Important! After successfully flashing the image, it is advisable to change the region code .

Disabling digital signature of drivers

The operating system will not trust unsigned drivers, which means flashing the Lenovo A6010 will be impossible. Therefore it is necessary to disable it. To do this:

  1. Launch a command line with administrator rights.
  2. Write gpedit.msc and press Enter, the “Local Group Policy Editor” will be activated.
  3. Next, go to “User Configurations”, from there to “Administrative Templates”, and then in the section called “System” select “Install Driver”. Then go to “Digital driver signatures” and disable their verification.
  4. Close "Editor".
  5. In the same command line window, type gpupdate to perform the necessary system updates.

Lenovo a6010 firmware via TWRP recovery

1. Download and place the archive with the system on a flash drive. 2. Launch TWRP. 3. Make a backup copy of the firmware.

4. Clean all partitions except the memory card.

5. Select firmware installation. Specify the path to the archive on the disk drive.

6. Wait for the installation to complete.

How to install TWRP recovery

To install modified and amateur firmware, third-party TWRP recovery is used. There are three ways to install TWRP, use one of the methods that is convenient for you.

Method 1: Through the Flashify app

  1. Get root rights using KingRoot, 360 root or Framaroot programs.
  2. Download and place TWRP on your external hard drive.
  3. Install the Flashify app and provide root access.
  4. Open Flashify, create backups.
  5. Install TWRP.
  6. After installation, download TWRP, save the full system image.

Method 2: via computer

  1. Download and extract the archive from TWRP.
  2. Turn off your smartphone, then hold down the “volume down” and “power” buttons.
  3. Run the bat file Flash-TWRP_A6010 .
  4. When the line “ Installing recoverywaiting device , connect the phone. Wait for the process to complete.
  5. Afterwards, a notification will appear to press the “volume up” button and Enter. Take the action.

Method 3: via QFIL

Important! This method is less preferable, since after flashing all data will be erased.

  1. Download the archive from TWRP.
  2. Unpack and place the contents in the folder with the system image. Confirm replacing the files.
  3. Flash the system image via QFIL, according to the instructions from this article.

How and why to change the region code

The action is performed after the next Lenovo a6010 firmware via PC. Since the smartphone is loaded with a general region template, which does not take into account the regional characteristics of the country where the smartphone will be used.

Algorithm of actions

  1. From the archive with the firmware, copy two region code archives to an external disk drive.
  2. After flashing the phone, turn on the device and go through the initial setup. Don't focus on this. After applying the region code, the phone will be reset to its factory state.
  3. Open your phone dialer app. Enter the code in the dialing field ####6020#.
  4. In the Country Code application that appears, select your region.
  5. Confirm the action, after which it will restart into recovery and install the settings you selected. Archives on an external drive will not be needed until the next firmware update.
